i see the bass boats do spinning starts in shallow water alot. they find a deeper puddle (less weeds) to turn in then use there own wake to jump up on plane in less than 2' of water.

there are lots of things that experienced boaters in coastal or other challenging waters do, that you would never even mention to a non-boater who owns a watercraft. Get in the conditions, it's nothing like driving a car around a shopping center parking lot; it's more like off-road driving, to use a car analogy. Watermen and other boaters teach their friends and family but you won't see it in a guide book anywhere.

I do both and consider offroad driving a lot safer than a mall parking lot ;)
