Can anyone tell me by looking at this if it is a crossflow or looper motor? It is suspose to be a 1988 175 hp, I'm looking to buy the power head for my 1986 150. Would it be a direct bolt on?
It looks like a crossflow. That 175 will not bolt up inplace of a 150. The 175 that year was a big bore block with the bubble back exhaust and requires the bubble back midsection adapter before it will bolt up.
