Howdy,
Im thinking about installing a wakeboard tower on my boat and I usually pull two wake boarders at the same time behind my boat, but is this a good idea to put that much stress on a wakeboard tower at one time?

Thanks,

If the tower is mounted properly (with backing plates) this shouldn't be an issue.
I've seen tubes towed from towers before. I would never do *that*, but two boarders shouldn't be an issue at all.

I am confused on this one.
How do you pull two boarders at one time?
Wouldn't the fact that they have a chance at colliding be a good reason not to? I am just interested in how that setup works, because I feel like you would never be able to get across the wake like that.

I could see if you has a tower and a factory ski pole. You could put a longer rope on the tower than on the ski pole, but even that seems extremely dangerous.

I dont have a tower right now so i pull off the tow hooks on the rear of the boat. I have a pulley system for a single boarder, but to add the second one I just tied on another rope to the pulley. When we do tricks we have to take turns sharing the wake. One baorder goes way outside of one of the wakes and lets the other boarder shred it up then the we switch off... Its like having a competition behind one boat! :D

Got it. Makes sense a little bit now.
I guess I was thinking more along the lines of synchronized boarding or something. I was wondering how two people could use a wake at the same time. But, that sounds interesting.
I bet it wears you out quick though.
How long is your usual pass? Mine are only about 1 minute inbetween turns.

I couldn't tell you how long a usual pass is but we go for a while... We usually board untill someone has a wipeout. Me and four other guys go out at the same time on the boat and we switch off the whole day... a normal day is about 5-6hrs of boarding... This has to be the best sport ever :D
