Injecting antifreeze into an outboard is unnecessary, as they are self-draining.

Not 100% true as the injected engines,some carbed engines plus the 4 stroke strokes use water cooled vapor seperators,fuel rails,fuel pumps and rectifiers. They can get debris in lines and hold water and freeze. I have replaced: 2 fuel rails on a Opti, vapor seperator on Ficht, 4 regulator covers on Yammy rectifiers that have cracked from freezing. I highly recommend you use "pink" anti-freeze and use flush fitting on engine to ensure no damage. Older engines are fine and will self drain...
