Is this boat deck with trying to save?

Yesterday I bought this 1987 smoker craft deep v because I wanted the galvanized trailer for my Lowe 1667. I just going to swap trailers and sell the boat. I took boat out last night just to test it out and really like how it sits. It boat is open floor plan vs 3 bench seats. Guy I bought boat from was original owner who bought it in 1987. The floor on the rear half of this boat is soft. It needs replaced. Would it be worth the effort to try to replace or are rotten floors a sign of a hull not worth saving? $500 is what I’ve got invested right now and I’ll use the trailer, seats, anchors, batteries and trolling motors from boat.

Any aluminum boat is easy to restore when compared to a glasser !! Much more likely to recoup your time and money on a tinnie than a glass boat.

I’ve had many flats on the water. Can’t ever have too many spare tires, i just threw a few things in the boat to take it down to the river for a quick run. I wanted to know if boat was leaking water or not. It stayed dry. I was pretty impressed really.

Absolutely worth saving if you like the boat. You could do cheap, still correctly, for maybe 500 bucks. I'm doing some extra stuff like all new hoses, cables, etc and am going top dollar on the wood and other stuff and I'll be under 2k. Also great time to adjust anything with the layout. I'm moving batteries and fuel tank, adding storage.

so... it will begin this spring would like to be back on the water in a few weeks. I can take the time off but want to have most of the research, supplies and such in place to complete quickly once it becomes my full time job to complete. Have a leak i cannot identify from the outside and...

This boat is already pretty much set up exactly how I'd like it. The floors in entire boat are solid outside the back third. Ill probably redo it exactly how it is not mess with anything else. I like the storage, livewell, cup holders etc.

Perfect then. Mine was rotting fromt he back up. Also you will have foam. Mine was holding some water maybe 75 lbs but since i was chasing leaks as well i tore out everything. If it was just a floor I prob would have left the foam in.
