Hi im not to familiar with wiring a boat, i wanted to rewire the boat i just recently bought, it is a 74' 15ft glastron tri-hull. I made up a diagram of how i think it would work but i want to make sure if this would be allright. If not i would appreciate anyone who can give me details on what i should change. the switch panel i would be using would be the $28 seadog 6 gang if that helps at all. thank you

It looks like you have a good handle on it. Nicely done. Is the horn switch a spring-loaded "momentary"?

Also, if you decide to add a stereo you can replace one of the light switches with a center-off that will handle both nav and anchor lights.

You should add a float switch for the bilge pump, but otherwise looks pretty good.

You show individual +12 volt wires running from the 12 volt buss. While that is certainly acceptable, it involves a lot of extra and unnecessary wire. Each of the +12 volt wires between the buss and the switches can be eliminated by running a single wire to the switch panel and then hooking all those wires together at one point on the panel (and in fact it might already be wired that with with just one red pigtail to tie to the bus). You also use two separate switches for the nav (bow and stern lights). This can be done with just one switch which the panel probably already has but it is a different switch than the normal ON/OFF. Also, why have a switch for the locator. The locator already has an ON/OFF switch. If you can't remember to turn it off then you won't remember the dash switch either. A better way to do this is to use one of the new switches as a master. Turn it off and it turns off everything. Otherwise, what you have will work.
