Here in Malta, it is hard to make price comparisons. We went to the local Johnson dealer to buy a replacement trim switch (that's the little sender switch that sits under the motor and gives the trim position signal to the dial on the console) for a 96 50hp Johnson twin 2-stroke. <br /><br />We were quoted $150! Is that a fair going rate, or are we being ripped-off? It seems much too high.<br /><br />I told the guy to get lost, because I could run my boat for a month on that, and I'd rather look round whenever I adjusted the trim than pay such a price.<br /><br />Was I being too hasty?
