Is this motor any good? Is it reliable? He claims its a 1999 50hp 2 stroke oil injected with power tilt and trim.I was wondering if the paint is original and what is it worth. Thanks everyone!
if there isn't anything wrong with it and compression checks out good that motor would go for $2000 easy where I'm from (south Louisiana). either he needs the money really bad or somethings up
i would say at least 120 but most important is how close each cylinder is in psi. they shouldn't vary more than a few psi. post the numbers on here when you check it and the guys here will let you know if it's good. i hope its all good because you are getting a hell of a deal. just make sure he signs a bill of sale if you buy it
Make sure it comes with controls and instruments too. And make sure he runs it for you... Too many people get a 'great deal' only to find they have to throw quite a few hundred dollars worth of parts at it to get it to run....
