is this my fuel pump?

good day all,

I wanted to know if anyone can tell me if this is my fuel pump on my Merc 1500 outboard? if so, where would the filter be?

I am attaching a pic of what I think is my fuel pump....

That is indeed your fuel pump. It should also have a screen to filter the fuel, under the top front cover.
