The letter at the END of the model # is nothing more than a model production run. It's basically meaningless unless you happen to work in quality assurance at the plant.

I don't think that you are wrong.

You can download the parts lists from the BRP site into Excel if you have it, or just print them out. The diagrams can be enlarged and then downloaded as well.

The BRP parts diagrams and the original parts booklets are OK but don't give you the superseding part numbers.

The best bet is to find the original part number on the BRP site and the enter it on the "ishopmarine.com" website's home page at the top of the page. That will bring up the superseding part number as well as aftermarket parts.

It is well worth the trouble to download the model guide or at least to bookmark the site.

Think i got an Evinrude 4 stroke 9.9 hp but no repair manual or book or cd to fix the valves and the powerhead, any used manuals out there among you guys for that? i think the year is 1998. can't tell, write me to gussails@ yahooo if you all can be of help. thanks.
