Is this my Speedomoter tube?

After I unloaded the boat today I noticed this tube had rotted.

It goes to the console. My speedo was not working today so I am assuming it goes to the speedo? Where could I get another tube to hook it back up. I think I know where it hooked in at but there is nothing there but a hole. Nothing to hook the tube to.

There should be a nipple in the front of the gearcase it hooks to. The bad news is you have to drop the gearcase to get to it. Yes it is the speedometer hose.

Can I just tuck the hose and not have a speedo, or will this damage anything?
