I would have to say ... NO! It should have a blue hue to it. I think you should check your VRO pump (if there is such a thing) ... or remove the VRO all together and premix your gas and oil. From what I have read, many people have grown to distrust the VRO gas/oil system and have disconnected it and gone to premixing their oil and gas. Just a thought ... but your PIC does not indicate there is any oil in your gas.

Re: is this normal???

A few years ago, I bought a new Nissan 5 HP 2stroke.
tht first day it ran fine. Second day it started, but died after several minutes; and woulld not start again. While trying to troubleshoot, I noticed that orange fuel was coming from the hose. I held open the check ball on the fuel fitting with a tie-wrap
and pumped about a cup of orange fuel into a bucket
before it turned green. When I replaced the Nissan hose and bulb with OMC parts, the problem went away.

Mark your oil holding tank before you run next time, and check the mark afterwards. Level should have gone down of course. This should happen if you're using premix in your gas tank or not.

That's the surest way to confirm that your vro is feeding oil to the motor.

the pump ia working fine, mark the tank and did what you said, but it only happens when the motor sits for a few hours and pressure is lost in the primer bulb. I believe does not come from the bulb since the gas comes out clear when i bleed the system.

the motor and the vro only have 10 hours on them, and the color of the gas seems to be lighting up now.

Sounds like the water may be starting to seperate. Did you draw a fuel sample from the gas tankl?
