ok I am taking on alot of water while sitting still mostly i think, but my question is 1. how would water get into the storage area on the floor between the capt. and co-capt seats---2. what would cause not only water but little pieces of seaweed and dirt to get in just under my engine in that little cut-out area? is this normal? I do have a little crack by my drain plug and the plug itsself isnt sealed great but Im fixxing that already

ok I sound stupid....but I dont understand how seaweed and dirt can get in through the crack and when checking the engine compartment there are no holes or cracks on the floor of the compartment to allow water into that storage area between the seats, how is it getting in there?

It's a bit unorthodox, but you can put water in the hull while it is on the trailer and look for where it comes out.

Get a new plug. I bought one at WalMart and I took on more water then the old one did. So get a good plug.
