First my boat wasen't starting so I used a meter and found out that the multi-colored that sent the signal from the slave solenoid was burnt up so thanks Don S for the sticky. Now I have two things, first is my starter solenoid upside down, and second when I try to start the boat the bendix doesen't pop out. I think that's because I don't have the little tab coming off the solenoid hooked up to anything. What is that suppose to be hooked up to do I just run a wire from it to the bottom or top pole of the starter solenoid because I don't remember pulling anything off of there on the old starter solenoid. This is a new solenoid because I stripped out the old one trying to put the wrong nut on there.

I know shame on me for not taking pictures but it was a very frustrating day.

Would be real handy if we knew what engine and drive you have, along with things like model numbers, serial numbers, year.

Got the solenoid position figured out now I just need to know what connects to the pin at 12 oclock in my picture. I can't find anything.
