2000 4.3L V6 carbureted.

Drive Serial# L722749 (0L722749)

Mercury parts catalog says...

Does anyone know if the 807252Q5 kit is the correct one to get? Thanks.

Yes part number 807252Q5 is the one you want. Installing a new sleeve is sometimes preferred but it don't normally come in the kit unless you find one on EBay that puts it in as a special kit. Part number 23-806922.
