I do not think this will give you more hp. Your boat will not go faster. My guess you will not notice any difference in the motor. If they were so great more would know about them.

I think they will help out your throttle responce as well as bottom end and midrange. Do a search for boyson reeds, the topic has been talked about a lot before.
