As I tried to say before, water coming out there is normal. The only question is if it is excessive or not. The picture looks like a lot of water, but it is hard to judge from that. It might be perfectly OK.
When I backed it into the lake and only had the lower unit itself under water, the amount of water coming out from behind the lower mounting bracket was significantly less.
Thanks for the help!! So as long as my water pressure stays good I shouldn’t have to worry too much? I just wasn’t sure what kind of damage could be done from having extra water coming out of those exhaust holes and wherever else water is moving around in my lower unit.
