Issue with getting trailer plated, cause weight -_-.. can someone help

i need to get my trailer weighed. i was gonna take it to the recycle yard to use scale but i wanna know can i take the boat with in with it ??

i don't know how to use the stands or whatever, the water is frozen an too cold put in.. What are my other options will they weigh the boat an trailer then i subtract boat weight from total.

anyone who was in this situation how did you get out. thanks

to really get a true weight measurement the boat will have to be off the trailer, even if you have it all weighed then subtract what you think the boat weighs you will be off by possibly a signifigant amount. I dont know how old the boat is but it does make a difference if it were brand new you could do it and be alot more confident in the math, with an older boat there will be variables that could impact the final outcome. Is there a mechanic or trailer shop near you, most will have a sling that you could possibly use(for a fee of course). Thats about the only way (to me) that you could do it and be exact on the trailer weight.

or look up a similar trailer at a manufacturer's website or on NADA. Why do you care about the weight?

many states title the trailer by the tare weight of the trailer. Florida for example.

1985 Bayliner, what brand and model of trailer do you have?
