Re: It runs.....
JD,
Don't run it anymore! Remember, I said...if your pressure was within specs along with no binding and good compression. Did you get cylinder bore measurements?
Hopefully you did no further damage and did not ruin the block. Pressure is up because the bearings are off somehow. your starving your heads because the oil can't get through. Hopefully a only a bearing spun or a rod bent. Get an engine stand and a cherry picker and pull that motor. Put it on the stand and break it down. Take the block to your machinist and have it cleaned and checked. Your rods will need to be checked too Rebuild as necessary.
This is the most labor intensive but your block will be built right with good parts and you will know what is done. Many rush to a remanufactured short block just because it's easy. It's expensive and that doesn't mean quality. You may have no choice in your situation?
Don't be sorry, Just next time put ALL the info about your situation in the forum. Initailly I thought you got here adjusting the valves???
I'm sorry for your situation, it sucks, been there, but...you will get through it and learn a lot about fixing your own boat. In the end, it will save you tons.
Good Luck,
Let us know how it turns out,
Ken
