It turns over but won't idle...

Any suggestions? 1999 Rinker 272 Captiva, we drove into the dock after buying, and we went last weekend, and BAM...nothing...any ideas? 250 hp mercruiser...

You have fuel in the tank? And you're getting fuel to the engine? Good spark? Gotta' start with the basics.

Does it try to run, but won't idle? Or if you crank it, will it not even catch?
