item in gas tank - Ball Bearing?

Cleaning out the plastic gas tank on my 1996 Four Winns project. I heard something rattling around in there and I was able to get it out... it's a little ball bearing looking item (like a BB)..

Is this supposed to be in there? I can't imagine that it would've gotten in there any other way unless intentially.. the gas fill doesn't have any type of chain on the cap where it maybe could've come off of that.. then again, you never know...

Just don't know if I should leave it in there or not..

may have come out of the check valve, antisiphon valve.

ok, so basically, it's not supposed to be there? I'll leave it out then.. the anti-siphon valve did break apart when I was removing the fuel hose from it.. there was a spring, but no bearing.. I bet that is where it came from.
