Had the pontoon out saturday, left the launch and ran for about 1.5 min at about wot and 1975 25hp johnson
quit............just cut out tried to restart cranked fine and tried but nothing, acted fuel starved.
pumped the primer bulb,no help,removed tank fitting and dropped hose in tank (to eliminate possible bad seal at fitting)
no help Finally full choke 3/4 throttle ran like crap 3.4 mph(gps) back to the launch
back at home removed filter on pump and it was clean..............reinstalled and started fine and runs like a dream
just like it always did........fluke or prelude to a future problem ?

You sure it was a fuel problem, did you happen to check spark?
It didn't overheat did it?
Sometimes an ignition componet can shut down when hot and will work when it cools off.

pretty sure it must have been fuel related the motor had only run about 3 min.
