Yep... Spring time is here... Almost...
Time for me to stop putting off all the stuff I been putting off because it's too cold, or its too rainy, or Portland is buried in snow..
Were getting a few decent days in a row and its time to get my boat together so I can get it wet a couple times before the season starts and I end up with a boat load of kids and find out I screwed something up or get myself stranded on the island or something..
Gotta Put a new shift cable in which sounds simple enough but OMC's like mine dont believe in simplicity, so that will end up burning a day, and I have my new sterndrive to replace the cracked one I took off before it got cold, and I have collected a variety of props over the winter to experiment with and I replaced the useless trim gauge with a snazzy digital depth finder to help avoid the perils of the Columbia River and hopefully not destroy the boat this year by flying wide open into a section of the river thats suddenly 8 inches deep.. I got a little experience and a brand new depth gauge on my side this year as soon as i get the transducer attached and the wires ran that is...
Yep... got a few half started projects on the boat to wrap up... but thats what spring is for... I guess...
Wish me luck... I'll probably need lots of it...
