Good stuff, about time you caught a break you have been in a deep freeze/snow bank all winter.

Mindya, it looks like this system could snake its way over to you the way the jet stream is curving, from our place to your place its not that far as the crow flies.

We just had 28" 2 days ago........... today it finally hit 34 and rain is coming.

The rain should help knock down the snow pack...... I'd welcome rain from here forward........ I seen people at their cabins who just shoveled enough to get their vehicles off the road. The snow in their drives is higher than the hoods....

Just watched the noon weather and OH YA, snow warning in effect, 6-8 inches of blowing snow this afternoon.
Freezing level rising to 3800 feet, so we will be on the cusp of either rain or snow this evening.

We had heavy rain the last two days here in Dartmouth NS. Snow was almost gone, then snow flurries covered everything again. Talk about a very weird year, weather wise. More snow than usual, and more cold than usual, totally miserable.

Every night for the past two weeks the temperature would drop just below the freezing mark and by ten AM it would start warming up.
The drive way would be muddy and there was cat prints everywhere.
This morning it was just enough below to get those big old snowflakes the size of beer coasters, probably 2 inches fell but the snow is so wet it shouldn't take long for it to melt.

I saw a robin in February and thought, nice, spring is on the way. Here in the Atlantic Canada region, seeing a robin means they are migrating back to the north from the south. But then I was told by an elderly woman that it probably was a winter robin which nests here all year around. It really brought me down but she was right. I'm ready to wave the white flag.
