It's Official: Speedometer is in error

Noticed a lot of chatter about verifying mph with GPS. Planning a fishing trip to the Gulf Coast this spring and found a $99 GPS receiver....great. Sucked it up.

On the way to the lake a couple of days ago, I checked my truck speed and it was dead nuts on to the 1/10 mph.....so the GPS must be accurate, as is the truck.

Jumped in the boat and blasted off.......... Noticed that what I thought to be 50mph was only 48.

Geez's I'm devastated. :'(

What am I going to do? :%

Now I have a challenge to get to the real 50.....wonder what that's going to cost? d

Recalibrate the GPS it is obviously wrong !!!!dd

Hey, if you find a place to recalibrate that obviously inaccurate GPS please let me know as I think mine is out by approximately the same amount !!!d

Too cool. How about spinning it around an giving us a shot of the other side. Something you built or is this something available off the shelf.

found the bike on walmarts site, not available in store. the engine is one of those conversion kits off ebay. clock at 30 mph on level street, too fast to fall off. but is it ever fun. the fartherest i've ridden at one time is 10 miles. 80cc's of pure power. in storage for winter, even in Fla.
