Afternoon/morning guys.<br /><br />Quick question. I’ve been trying to get my ’82 70HP engine to work properly but I’m struggling. Should the inline fuel filter fill up completely, its just that I’ve noticed that mine seems to contain a thimble full and when I open the throttle up she bogs down under load but in neutral she can scream to 6,000 rpm without missing a beat!<br />Annoying would just like to open her up properly and know she’ll be ready for the ski/ fish season!<br /><br />Thanks
<br /><br />OK, shotgun approach: Make sure the tank is vented properly, the fuel line is clear, and the bulb working properly. Get a new filter, and replace the diaphram in the fuel pump. Clean the carbs.<br /><br />Now all that's left is the idle needle settings maybe needing anther 1/2 turn out, or it's overpropped.<br /><br />I'm assuming the ignition is set up properly.<br /><br />-W
