LOL Ken, the ONLY vehicles that I ever had tranny problems with were DW's Dodge minivan and my Dodge Dakota. THAT one completely died and couldn't be brought back to life.

I hadn't heard about the Ford tranny problems. I just got my nonexistent gas pedal problem on my Tundra fixed.

Like I said, I am not knocking the Ford product in any way. Just put me off them after my experiences and some local peoples all within a short space of time.
Funny thing as well, I just got in from adding some chlorine to our pool and my next door neighbor just arrived back with his trailer from a camping weekend. He told me his transmission is making "funny noises" on his F-150 and shifting "hard"
Scary eh !!!

Mr. Ken- I believe you made a good choice. The tranny in my 2003 Exploder failed after 100K miles. I had all the required maintenance done, took it easy when towing and had the V8. My load is on the lighter side too...3,500lbs. I just bought a Toyota to replace the Ford. It's too bad because that Ford 4.6 is a good engine.

I didn't know the Trailblazer 6 was a straight 6. Nice.

Thank You for the input. Spoke to the neighbor this evening and apparently his torque converter has expired !!! $3,500 fix so he says. He has about 80,000 miles on it. (130,000km) He is not happy

Same exact thing with my tranny... torque converter failed. I was not happy either. I feel his pain.
