Ive tried other forms but no luck steering help

1987 phantom bowrider 19.ft with a mercruiser 5.0 all i can get off the cable is detmar e6 15 foot.
I know its a 15 foot cable but what about the part that goes on the steering wheel.does it come off or??

Im looking for a new cable.

I replaced mine years ago and don't remember the exact connection to the Helm. I do remember replacing the helm as well as the cable. I went with the Teleflex NO-Feedback for non-power steering.
