Still working out old motor issues before I put it on the water. I wanted to test the temp sending units as described in the J/E manual. What got my attention was the buzzer alarm in the remote control was fried when I went through and serviced it. The OE sending units are done. Finished. Each wire on each unit is corroded past repair. Not to mention they broke off at the sending unit.Since good used ones are so hard to find, and mine are very stuck I want to do as others have and go with gauge type temp indicators. I plan on using two separate senders and two separate gauges. One for each bank. There is a flat spot on top of each head that can be drilled and tapped for a sending unit to be mounted that would get the sensor into the water jacket of the head. That's the direction I'm looking at. Suggestions? Past experience as to which sending unit and gauge setup is recommended? Thanks, Kevin
