Weird does not do it all the time. Replaced water pump this spring.Replaced thermostats and bypass valves last year. Started the other morning and ran at 1000rpms to 1500 rpms after about 5 minutes hot light came on. Cut throttle back to idle and after about 30 seconds light went off. Idled a little more the rest of the day and no problems. Got ready to head back to launch ramp and ran about 3500 rpms for less then 5 minutes no problems. If I shot the head with an infrared thermometer what should my maximum reading be ? And where should I point the thermometer and get my reading. I wonder if my temp sensors are going bad or what else it could be?
Thanks in advance!

I have read that people had used small radiator and small rubber fuel line hose cut to length. Is that an acceptable substitute?

Water does NOT go through these things.----Solid rubber material ( correct diameter ) will also work.
