I know this has been discussed alot, but I have a 16' Sea Nymph ModV with a Nissan 15hp. I cant get the cavitation plate up above the bottom of the boat safely, so I wanted to put a jack plate on and raise it up where it needs to be. I wanted to know everyones thoughts on what the best adjustable option is. Thanks

Re: Jack Plate Again

The antiventilation or cav plate must be positioned 3 to 5 cm from hull's bottom for that engine to work well, best cruise and speed is obtained when water flow at wot passes slightly under small upper plate, lower or raise your transom accordingly to match. Or post some pics to understand well what you are trying to figure out :D

Happy Boating
