Jack Plate steering

I put a Jack plate on my 20 foot Bayliner due regular shaft Vs Long now steering cable does not align. To far down and to far back . Any suggestions on how to solve . Have thought of adapter or putting another hole in the stern of boat. Dose anybody make adapters for this problem.

You shold be able to find an external steering tube that will bolt to the tilt tube of the motor. That might fix it.

I had to put another hole in the back.

Thanks I may go with Hyd steering if my old Yamaha 115 HP hooks up OK if not then to the hole saw.
