Our prayers go out to the Japanese people for the horrors they are enduring right now
While its a small matter compared to their trouble, is it reasonable to expect a shortage or total stoppage of Marine (and other) gear from there. Yammy, nisson Suzuki etc or are the dealers well stocked allready??

Lets see.....

Magnitude 9.0 Earthquake

Tsunami of epic magnitude

Several Nuclear Meltdowns

Volcanic eruption

Ya I think getting parts from Japan could be a little difficult for a bit

My apologies, however parts are a low priority and I think recovery is more important.

Was it hard to get parts for Evinrude after Katrina?

Re: Japanese parts and motorss

this makes Katrina look like a brown out. Japan is a small island. Most of its ports are down with thousands of cars and trucks piled on top of each other. Ports closed mean no parts out or material in. I'm only suggesting to our members that if they need parts or motors from Japan they should think about getting them now before the shortages (and price increaces ) begin. Yes we must send help, prayers, money, whatever is needed , but, face reality and prepare for the impact here as well.....

There was a blurb on the news about Toyota. Being one of the main exporter companies in Japan they were talking about a slow recovery in economically on till the plant gets up and running.

We need to return the Aid they have sent this country in times of natural disaster, less of course the money they were supposed to pay our World War II veterans for their mistreatment and murder while in captivity and wages while they were being used as slaves.

Truth or not, it's making the thread political. That's what gets them closed.............. I can't believe this thread was started in the first place. The subject matter never even crossed my mind until I saw this thread. Thinking about ourselves(OP) in a time of a disaster. How pathetic.....

I think that if you own an evinrude and needed parts I would worry about the shortage of parts only if the Cows in Wisconsin stopped milking. :) :)

Truth withstanding, it turns the thread political. We all know once that line is crossed the end is near in iboats land.

Yes, that's true, as it is what iboats Senior Management wants. Thanks for understanding all. I am closing this as there are a couple of issues that are causing members to react strongly . . . :)
