Jax Air Show report, now pics.

the show as usual was great, the conditions fantastic. iboats member who signed up for the Raft up, only 1 showed.

i did notice one thing, the fuel crunch, and economy has hit the boaters hard. there were less than 1/4 of the boats out on a beautiful day, than there were, for the last Air Show.

A couple weekends ago I went up to Smyrna to buy some boat paint. I got there before the store opened so I dropped the tailgate and sat there and had some coffee. About that time fighter jets were swarming all over the place. Come to find out they were having an air show too. It was either Dobbins AFB or the Naval Air Station. They are only a few miles apart. If you've never seen them in person, it's a pretty awesome site. You can't hear them coming but they shake the earth when they pass you.

I bet it was really cool to sit on the river and see the one in Jax.

Baconbiscut's 27 ft Formula.

i was really impressed with BB's, ability at the helm, gusty and choppy, when we rafted up, he brought that 27 footer along side, and never bumped my boat.

wow....the blue angels.....we never get to see them in canada....only at a few really big air shows).....we have the snow birds here......

its fantastic to see them work !.....just awesome....

What's a Blue Angel? Same as the Snow Birds? I took this Snow Birds shot over our little hick town north of Ottawa this past Canada Day...

I wen to a air show in my area about 5 years ago. It was a lot of fun for the few bucks it cost to get in. I highly recommend it to anyone. After all those years of seeing planes take off , land , and fly in nice straight lines it's crazy to see what some of these guys can do with the right plane.
