JB how's the health? You had a slight hiccup in early Aug.... and you have slowed down some.

Just checking.... hope all is well.

Re: JB Checking on you.

Been to my High School 53rd for '53 reunion, Bob. Just got back. That's where I have been the past 5 days.

No final verdict on the episode yet. Got a Thallium nuclear stress test coming up at the end of next week and got a note from my Doc in the mail today that she doesn't like my Hemoglobin A1C, whatever the heck that is, and wants to "discuss treatment".

Haven't done a compression test yet, but it seems that I have both fuel and ignition troubles.

The only thing worse than getting old is the alternative. :(

That test measures sugar levels by checking what is found in red blood cells. If you're diabetic, she might modify how you're being treated. If not, she might give you suggestions on not becoming. So, not bad...

At least no fuel pump or lower unit trouble.

The body is continually making (and destroying) new red blood cells, and the blood sugar level at any given time affects the thickness of the outer layer of the new red blood cells being made at that time. The A1C test determines the average thickness of that layer then uses that result to calculate the average blood sugar level over the life of your red blood cells, which is about 60 days. Nowadays its a pretty routine test to check for diabetes or to help monitor the status of existing diabetics.

That's a nice pickup by your doctor JB, but you shouldn't be too concerned at this point. The solution could be something as simple as cutting our your favorite daily cocktail :( and your late night snacks.
