Re: JB update

I am soooo grateful for all my loyal, supportive friends in my iboats family. An old guy who lives alone out in the country is always at risk of feeling useless. . . as though he no longer matters outside his immediate family.

I have good fortune to have all of my descendants nearby and they are a very tight bunch who are very supportive of the "Patriarch". Even my ex-wife (I hate that term. I would much rather call her what she is: the love of my life) is at the core of the family.

That I have such a huge family of dear friends on iboats and in iboats is perfect protection from that risk.

Each of your messages hits home and reminds me that I matter. That is priceless. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

I need to correct one thing: The quote was from a John Wayne film, but it was True Grit, and the character played by Glen Campbell said it when The Duke needed his help and shouted at him from the bottom of a snake pit asking him if he was still alive and if he could pull him and the female lead girl out of the pit. Campbell's character was severely injured, but replied, "I ain't dead yet, you bushwhacker!"

Well, I ain't either and I have no plans to change that.

JB, when the times are tough, you know who is really friend or foe.

You have a lot of friends here, count me in as one of them, in good times and bad.

Great to have you back!

Re: JB update

Great news to say the least. Now take some time to rest up, cause I may need some help convincing your daughters that the whitetail population at "The Hideout" needs to be controlled, and I'm just the one to do it.:D

Re: JB update

JB, I hope they fed you. They told me not to eat anything after ten the night before the test. Came in around 2pm and told me it had been postponed till the next day. Did the same thing the next day and cancelled again. Don't ever have heart problems during the holidays!! Get well soon.

JB, Don't think that way. There are not many people out there who are willing to share their expertise and wisdom with others like you have done sooo many times. You have helped many people, all of whom are very greateful.

Glad to hear that you are doing better. Take care and best wishes.

Rob.
