I broke a plastic part on my 1976 motor (the shfter cable guide). I found the pieces and "welded" i back together with JB Weld. I made a little form out of aluminum foil to pour the epoxy into and bild up the repair to be bigger.

JB Weld is some great stuff!

Re: JB Weld - my new friend!

I always have JB in my tool chest. I have used it many times over the years. I used it to fill in some cracks on my ignition coils and it worked great. when I was in my wilder days and used to race motorcycles in the California desert, JB weld saved me a lot of money. Most of the cases on motorcyles are magnesium and in the desert you hit a lot of rocks. Those covers cost over 100$ and I patched them a lot with old JB. Never had one fail where it had been patched.

We can all thank Sulphur Springs, TX, for that great product. Nice area to go lake hopping, too.
