Ok, the cooling system on my '74 Merc 650 got fouled or clogged, the engine overheaded and detonated, punching a small hole in the block on the #2 cylinder.

So I drilled out the hole and patched it with a panhead bolt run through from the inside and a big patch of JB Weld covered by a fender washer and a nut on the outside. I now get 160psi in that cylinder. But I can't get it to fire although #1 and #3 run fine. I've replaced the plugs and cleaned up the wires, etc., but it just won't quite fire. Any ideas why?

Your wasting your time with a fix like that epoxy softens a 350 degrees and the cyl temps are above 1200 degrees
