I recently broke my carb control panel. After trying several times to repair it with "super" glue I decided to use J-B Stik Weld.

You can see the crack where it was broke.

The repair is visable only from the back.

I would venture to say if your carb is similar to mine you could go ahead and do this preventatively and never have to worry about it breaking. A new control panel is about $30. The Stik Weld was about $5 I think.

Comes in 2 tubes, black and white or black and red depending on whether it is fast dry or regular. Mixes at 1:1 and be ready to get her on fast as in hot weather it will setup in just a few minutes if the fast dry.

Be sure surface is roughed up and clean prior to using. I use brake cleaner to degrease the surface prior to installing. I like Berryman's brand of cleaner. Leaves less residue.
