Hi all!
So the last few mounths my lill' tiny has been parked under my carport, I have been fishing / working on a friends "new old" boat so have not used mine. Sunday I hooked her up & my son and I went down to a little bass lake to do some fishing. I pulled & pulled on my OB for a while & it would not start (thought it was flooded) so I dropped the trolling motor & went on electric power. Once we got to a place my son could fish I went back to messing with my OB, pull & pull & it would not start, finaly pulled the cowling & see that the hose from the fuel pump to carperator was pissing fuel through a split in the hose. The funny thing is I replaced this hose last year when I was doing something else to the motor (the old hose looked pretty bad.so I replaced it) I might add she ran fine the last time I used her.
Me thinks she's a bit jealous, maybe a nice wash job will improve her mood?

I think she's being a little neglected and is starting to show signs of it.

Re: Jealous boat?

Unlikely to be an ethanol problem. Probably just a bad hose ( old stock?) or it was damaged somehow during installation.
I've had brand new water hoses (for a classic car) fail immediately due to bad ( read cheap ) manufacturing!!

I'm guessing "old stock" too, I'm allso guessing the replacement assembly will be "old stock" too. That's why I'm considering the hose barb / hose clamp method.

That's what I'd go with.

All better! Purchased 90 degree hose barbs, fuel line, & clamps $36.00 from a agriculture hydraulics supply house, auto parts store might have these items but I was sure the ag outfit did.
