I will add that I just purchased this ski a couple of weeks ago and this was the first time I had it out. I am not sure whether this was present when I bought the ski or if it was somthing that happened when I had it out. I did inspect the hull before purchase but this spot is way underneith in the center, hard to see unless you climb completely under the ski.

It would take a pretty good whack to do that, so if you did it you'd know it.

Frequently the type of resin used to make PWC hulls and body work doesn't like to be repaired with normal polyester resin, so its better to use epoxy.

There's some fractured glass below the surface and it would be nice if you could do a layup on the inside too, but if not that's OK. Sand down the surface and lay a few layers of cloth over the bad area (with epoxy). when its hard sand it to the correct shape and paint it if you want it to look better, but its not needed. Read a few other threads about using epoxy for more details if you're not sure how to play with it.

Is there a way to tell for sure if there is borken glass below the surface? Would it be possible to use "peanut butter" to fill in the area then sand it down and cover with gelcoat or paint?
