I am looking into using a jetdrive for another project boat but can not find any info on them. Finding alot of drives just nothing that says how they work, what i should remember when choosing, best motors to use for each, etc. Any one know of a site that will shed more light on this subject?

Re: JetDrive

Depends on what you want? Two stroke or four stroke engine? What do you want to do with the boat?

Re: JetDrive

I would like to go with 4 stroke 4 cylinder (something small). Also would like to look at a twin setup. Main concern is that i dont know where to start to turn a boat originally meant for outboard and retro for jet. Also have no idea what the company's are talking about when they give the specs for thier products :( . I would like to take this 14' boat and make a fun boat to just have a really fun day in. ALso maybe pull skier.

Rage...don't know what sort of jet drive you are talking about but here's some sites that concern themselves with the subject...
http://www.sonarsearch.com/Jets.htm
http://www.westernwhitewater.org/

I thought I had some others bookmarked but not so.
You can go to Google.com and do a search for "jet boats"...just a Thought

Looks like you posted same time as I...did a search for "outboard jets" and found a lot of information...just another Thought

Rage
If your looking at putting this on a outboard and buying a new one there is a new model on the market now that has a 1 to 1 ratio instead of the old 1-3 like mine. It has a larger intake and claims to only loose 12% of the power where the older models claim only a 30% loss. If not a OB then I missed the boat per say :) Both cost around $1500.00 new or so I was told the other day
Happy Boating
Link
