My engine do not rev enough (4000 should be 4400). After ruleing out props etc, I?m now checking up my carb.
The Quadra jet sits on a 350 OMC 1989 260 hp (boat fourwinn sundowner 215).
Carb number 17059286 0633W
Primary rods 45
Primary jets 73
Secondary rods CM C4
Hanger E
power valve spring hight 0.85

What are the standard specs, is this OK?
Little suspicious abot the secondary rod, strange numbers there.

Exactly how did you rule out props????

Do you think the jetting on your carb magically changed??

Don't have an OMC manual handy, but a 1989 Mercruiser 5.7L 260 with a Quadrajet came stock with .068 primary jets, .041 primary metering rods and CL secondary rods.

45auto thanks for info.

I had some help from hwsii and ended up with "probably motor issue".

Nevertheless a new prop is orderd (hustler), meanwhile i try to sort out the the other components.

just bought the seloc manual but sadly they doesnt state the specs for the Quadra, only for the Holly.

What prop is on it now? Is it in good condition?

I also run a 5.7/260 on a 19' Glastron, it came with a 14? x 21. After some engine mods it reved to 5500, so i changed it to a 23", revs to 5000 now.

Current prop is Michigan Whell 14 1/2 x 19 good condition, but I will try turningpoint Hustler 14 1/4 x 19 anyway. Hopefully more revs and little bit more speed.

Do you have your original carb specs at handy?
What engie mods did you do to jump up 1000 rpms from standard?
