Today I am going to take out the lower/upper access screws and drain the gear lube out of my '82 4.5hp evinrude. I read in another post that I just add new lube into the lower hole until it oozes out the upper hole and replace the screws (including new nylon seals). Should I flush it before adding new lube? Is there a certain gear lubrication you would recommend?
