My outboard Johnson 115 hp dies when running at 3/4 throttle and above. It looses power and acts as if it isn't getting gas. A sound I can only spell as phoot comes from the engine and it dies. After a restart it may do it again immediately or take a minute or so. I've replaced the ball and hose fitting coming from the top of the tank and feeding the engine. I also replaced the fuel filter and have fresh gas. Any ideas appreciated.

Are the hose fitting the right dia.? Or are they restricting the flow.

As far as I know. The last time I had it in the shop the mechanic didn't say anything. The flow seems to be alright .
