Johnson 115 hp model numbers

Trying to find out what the S stands for at the end of my model number. 1977 115 hp johnson modewl number 115ETL77S. everythin I have seen on the internet and calling Iboats... there is no S at the end of the 115ETL77. Help please as parts are a little different.

The S stands for any mid-year engineering changes that were made----IF there were any. Otherwise, it means nothing. You say parts are different. Exactly which parts are different and are those something you need?

About that time there were changes made to the midsection.

What it boils down to if you're looking up a model # for any year and you see one with a C and another with a D look closely and make sure you have the correct model #. It was a mid year change as said above.

Yes F_R the fuel pump is a 2 port and I got a kit #18-7820 and the gaskets were short. The pump I see on the internet is a 3 port. This one has the vacuume in the back of the pump and it attaches to the motorThe pump part number on the back is 343462 and I am having trouble finding the water pump assembly part number. There are a couple out there. Thanks for the quick response from everyone.
