Hello; I have a rebuilt johnson 115 v4 modle115mlcte
serial #j5838643. I was haveing problems with wiring and controls, but they are worked out. My new problem is with the sync and link. It seems to me that the top half should follow the bottom half. right now it does not.
I losened the nut and it seemed to work but it seems way to loose. By the way there is what i call an airline nut with the plastic in the center. If i tighten it down it will not work.
what i am asking is this
1 a quick over veiw of how it works
2 Should i a novice mess with it
3 and any advice you think i should need

thank you in addvance

To give you an exploded view of this go to the Johnson web site and goto the engine diagrams. This might help because you can see a bit more clearly the inside veiws of the carbs.

I hope this helps, it did me.

Contact the Ken Cook company in Milwaukee. Ask them to send you the original service manual. The diagrams and explanations in the manual will set you straight.
