I have an Exposed wire under the hood. Everything seems to operate but this wire is nearly gone.

What is it for?

Feeds 12 volts to electric primer valve.----Operates when you push the key in while cranking for cold starting.

only 2 options ... trace and replace (solder a new wire and cover joints with waterproof shrink tubing) or tape it up so it won't short to ground

The wee bits of foam must be cleaned up.----If they get into / stick in the reed valves there may be issues.

The foam seems to just be breaking down from inside the hatch.

Mice will chew it up , they all need a home.
