JOHNSON 120 COWL SEAL

Hi Skippers, anyone know where I can locate the cowl seal for a 1987 Johnson 120. My local dealer says that the part has been discontinued from OMC.

EE: do a search on this forum for cowl seal - I could swear there was a guy just a few days ago who found that more recent seals (still available) worked on his older engine.<br /><br />Thinking of that, it might be worth while bringing in a sample piece of it to a good OMC parts guy. They might recognize a current substitute.

You're welcome. Post back on this thread if you find something you can use. I for one will probably be in the market for a "NLA" cowling seal some day.

its part number 912032 and it is $18.15 from ishopmarine.com so why cant your dealer get it, its not NLA.<br /><br />it just has a newer part # than it did.<br /><br />Item [BMC-0210709](old #) has been superseded with item [BMC-0912032](new#)
