Johnson 15 HP lower crank seal question

I thought I'd post this as a separate question. I have a 1996 15 HP Johnson 4-stroke (J15FRLEDR)
that is leaking oil from the bottom crankshaft seal.

Question is: If I remove the powerhead....can that seal be replaced without splitting the crankcase halves?

Here's the diagram that shows the seal's position (#11)

I believe you can as long as you have the puller, or a means of pulling it out. Not as simple as a snap ring like the older 15s. Let someone verify that though, been a while since I have had a newer powerhead off.
